Sarah

Sarah owns the studio and is a passionate, dedicated instructor who loves all the details that Pilates has to offer. Having fully certified with world renown Basi Pilates (the only one in Northland) she has a dynamic teaching style, an eye for detail and delivers a full body flowing class. With a passion for classical Pilates techniques combined with modern elements, history of strength training, a banging sense of humour and often caffeinated, she provides you with not only a class but a movement experience in a support, inclusive and understanding environment. She is known for her slow counting, her knowledge of pelvic floor dysfunction, foot fetish and balanced approached.

Karl

If there was an expert in functional movement, it would be Karl. He values mobility and strength as the key to life, giving you the ability to live it to the max. Karl comes to us with over 20 years’ experience across New Zealand and Australia, he even owned his very own studio in Auckland. We know you will love Karl’s ability to layer movements to cater for many abilities allowing you to take your practice to the level that suits your body on the day. His experience in personal training, Pilates and many movement practices makes him a wealth of knowledge in sports conditioning and rehabilitation, injury rehabilitation and with achieving specific goals in private settings.

Dana

Coming out of her internationally recognised Basi training, Dana’s classes showcase her ability to flow a workout and her experience with anatomy. Her love of Pilates is evident in her full body plan that targets all planes of motion and all movements of the spine. Outside of teaching at Central Core, Dana is a nurse and is a passionate member of the Surf Lifesaving community.

Ash

Ash teaches a strong, focussed class guaranteed to make you feel all the things in all the places. Not only is Ash’s class planning chefs kiss, but she really nails the delivery in a motivating and encouraging way. She has an excellent knowledge of movement having completed her Pilates training with Stott, a history of strength training and experience across multiple facets of sports and recreation. We are lucky to have Ash running Wednesday 6:30am and stepping in to cover.

Asita

Dubbed by us as the Queen of Rehabilitation, Asita teaches a class true to the word of Pilates full of detail to give you the maximum benefit from your practice. She comes with to us with a degree in Exercise Physiology and experience teaching throughout Auckland and Northland. There is a special magic about Asita in the way in which she works with injuries and pathologies in a private or small group setting; her empathetic personality combined with knowledge and experience means you will be in safe hands for anything from pre-surgery strength to post-surgery recovery, to active aging, osteoporosis, and stroke

Sarah has created a beautiful community within central core, it is fun, friendly, hip (with a bit of hop) and a lot of spice and burn. We have alot of laughs. every class is different which keeps it fresh and interesting. Reformer pilates has helped my lower back issues and sarah's hands on correcting ensure the perfect technique in every class.

Expect it to be awkward for the first couple of sessions. It’s like starting a new job, the first couple of days can be tricky while you're learning your way around the reformer, the moves and your body. If you are injury free, you are welcome to join us in a ReformerFlow Open Level or a private session. An Open Level flow will give you progressions and regressions options for you to take to cater the workout to suit your body. A private session will be a 1:1 session fully catered to you and your body.
